BCRF and Lifetime have partnered again to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness month by highlighting the importance of research. This year marks the network’s twenty-fifth year supporting women’s health. To honor this milestone, their campaign Stop Breast Cancer for Life features a new PSA as well as content that stretches across their flagship brands of the A+E Network’s Portfolio, with new PSAs customized for Lifetime, A&E and HISTORY.
“The Breast Cancer Research Foundation has been proud to collaborate with Lifetime on these efforts for many years now,” said Myra Biblowit, President and CEO, Breast Cancer Research Foundation. “Together, we have reached millions of people and helped drive tangible change. We applaud Lifetime’s unwavering commitment to breast cancer research.”
Throughout the month of October on Lifetime, the PSA features award-winning journalist and breast cancer survivor Robin Roberts, Tony nominee Megan Hilty and Grammy and Tony winner Jessie Mueller. In addition, every Sunday morning in October at 10am ET/PT, Lifetime will air original movies from its rich history of real-life stories of breast cancer survivorship and members of the community working to end breast cancer.
MyLifetime.com will also feature breast cancer resources, treatment plan guides, doctor check lists, facts about breast cancer, ad stories of survivors and thrivers. Lifetime’s efforts on air and on social media will be sponsored by Estée Lauder, a longtime BCRF corporate partner.
“Every October, people across the nation from all backgrounds, backstories and backyards come together to raise awareness about the importance of breast cancer research,” said Paul Buccieri, president, A+E Networks Group. “They do it because they have been touched by breast cancer. This strikes a personal chord with many of us here at A+E Networks, including myself. That is why I am particularly proud that Lifetime is celebrating 25 years in support of a cure.”
