Play for P.I.N.K. Marks Record-Breaking Year of Play

The organization recently made a $6.25 million donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation

Play for P.I.N.K. (PFP), one of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s longest-standing and most impactful supporters, recently announced a record-breaking $6.25 million donation to our organization. This brings the organization’s cumulative giving to more than $85 million for lifesaving breast cancer research.

“Play for P.I.N.K. is powered by a committed community of sport enthusiasts who believe in our mission: to turn PLAY into serious support for breast cancer research,” PFP Managing Director Eunice Liriano said. “Because of our dedicated donors, sponsors, and supporters, we were able to reach our goal of $6.25 million! I am thrilled to do this work alongside all of them and invite everyone to support Play for P.I.N.K. and turn your passion into a powerful force for change.”

The national, volunteer-powered organization has been raising critical funds through sporting and lifestyle events since 1990. With the unwavering support of more than 35,000 participants annually and underwriting from Title Sponsor The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign, PFP continues to donate 100 percent of its proceeds directly to BCRF.

This year’s extraordinary contribution will help fuel the work of 22 research projects––with collaboration from 26 researchers––and accelerate the world’s most promising breast cancer research.

PFP was founded by current president Laura Lassman, who launched an annual golf tournament at Alpine Country Club in New Jersey to show support for a friend who had been diagnosed with breast cancer. That tournament blossomed into tournaments at other clubs in the area and, eventually, the organization that PFP is today.
