In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Street Fighter V community is hosting a number of events and fundraisers that benefit BCRF. To reach an even bigger audience, these streams will be featured on the front page of Twitch from October 17-23.
Capcom and BCRF are bringing together members of the fighting game community and variety streamers to collectively fundraise for lifesaving breast cancer research. Planned livestreams include exhibition matches featuring some of the best Street Fighter V players, challenge streams hosted by pro players, and a virtual YouTuber learning Street Fighter V for the first time.
For some streamers, like Oliver Hay (Luffy on Twitch), this cause and event is very personal.
“BCRF means a lot to me as I lost my sister-in-law to breast cancer and had my mother-in-law hit by breast cancer,” he said. “It’s still a disease that doesn’t have a 100 percent rate of recovery. I hope to raise as much as possible for it!”
Donations will be collection via Tiltify, with the main campaign active in support of the Street Fighter V x BCRF limited-edition pink skins collaboration.
