This October, Lokai adds to their collection of trademark bracelets by offering a limited-edition hot pink bracelet in support of BCRF. One dollar of each Breast Cancer Lokai purchased will support the Foundation’s mission to fund critical breast cancer research.
With the elements of their bracelet sourced from the highest and lowest points on Earth – water from Mt. Everest and mud from the Dead Sea— Lokai promotes finding balance during life’s highs and lows. Founder and CEO Steven Izen was inspired to create Lokai when he hit a personal low after coping with his grandfather’s illness.
“For so many wearers, Lokai is a reminder to stay hopeful through those lows,” said Steven. “By engaging our community around specific causes, Lokai strives to help lift people all over the world out of their low times and balance the odds for them.”
Already committed to raising $250,000 to fund a full year-long grant, Lokai is ready to inspire the masses to support breast cancer research.
“BCRF’s focus on research was really compelling for us,” said Steven. “We like being able to show our community the measurable impact of their donations in the spirit of transparency.”
Lokai’s commitment to impact has led them to Dr. Heather McArthur, a BCRF grantee located at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles. Her research in metastasis and immunotherapy will be supported by the dedication of the Lokai community through the purchase of the Breast Cancer Lokai.
“Unfortunately, so many of us know a person or a family that’s been affected by breast cancer,” said Steven. “At Lokai, we want to do everything we can to engage our community to help be the end of breast cancer. When we work together towards one goal, everyone can be a part of making a change.”
The limited-edition BCRF partnership bracelet is available September 30th – October 31st 2016 and retails for $18.
