Go the distance for breast cancer research! This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, BCRF will host the 40-Mile Move Challenge, a free virtual fitness event on Facebook that raises funds for lifesaving research.
BCRF’s 40-Mile Move Challenge honors breast cancer survivors and thrivers everywhere. Join us as we come together as a community to get active and make a difference this October for the one in eight women who will be diagnosed with the disease in their lifetime.
This official BCRF challenge allows you to participate wherever you live and go at your own pace during the month. You can walk, run, swim, cycle, or do any other activity that can be tracked in miles.
To fuel research, participants are encouraged to start Facebook fundraisers for BCRF with any goal and to ask friends and family to support their challenges. Fundraisers who collect more than $100 in donations will receive a free pair of pink shoelaces.
Get started by joining the challenge Facebook group and finding the “Start Your Challenge Here” post at the top of the page. From there, you’ll be directed to sign up for the challenge and launch a fundraiser.
With each mile you finish and every dollar you raise, you’ll support science that’s saving lives and improving outcomes for everyone impacted by breast cancer. Together, this challenge community will help be the end of breast cancer.
