About the Program

In 2018, Blizzard Entertainment® and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation partnered to raise funds for vital breast cancer research through the immensely popular, limited-edition Pink Mercy skin for Blizzard’s best-selling game Overwatch®. In two weeks, the campaign raised an astounding $12.7 million, which fueled research across the entire spectrum of the disease. This gift also launched BCRF’s Precision Prevention Initiative (PPI), which is the first initiative designed to pinpoint exactly how to prevent breast cancer in each individual person.

Now in 2024, Blizzard’s Overwatch 2 and BCRF are teaming up again to unveil “Mercy for a Cause,” a campaign to support BCRF’s mission to prevent and cure breast cancer. Overwatch 2 is releasing two limited-edition skins, including the original Pink Mercy skin ($14.99) and a new Rose Gold Mercy Bundle ($19.99) between June 25 and July 8. One hundred percent of the purchase prices will be donated to BCRF, excluding any applicable platform fees and taxes.
