Ever since philosophy professor David Barnett made the first PopGrip by gluing two buttons to his phone, it’s been Popsockets’ mission to bring fun into the world. PopSockets exists to change the world for the better with innovative, magical products, tools, and community empowered activism. PopSockets’ signature giving program, Poptivism, is an open invitation to make a positive impact. To support BCRF through Poptivism, you can purchase a BCRF-benefitting Popsocket or design your own grip. Since launching our partnership, Popsockets has enabled over 1,400 hours of critical breast cancer research.
PopSockets was founded in 2010 by former philosophy professor, David Barnett, who launched the company out of his garage four years later in Boulder, CO. Today, the company has sold over 165 million grips and has offices around the world. Products include the origial PopGrip and an entire swappable ecosystem of products, such as the PopMirror and PopThirst, all designed to increase the functionality of devices we use daily. In 2018, PopSockets premiered their Poptivism program – a charitable give-back platform – and the brand has donated over 3 million dollars in money and product to various nonprofits since the launch.
