By BCRF | August 10, 2017

Ryan Seacrest, DJ Questlove, Jimmy Buffett, Gabrielle Reece & Laird Hamilton, and more turn out to support breast cancer research

On Saturday, August 5, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) raised nearly $2 million at its sixth annual Hamptons Paddle & Party for Pink. Since its inception, the celebrated annual Hamptons event has raised more than $8 million for BCRF’s mission to advance the world’s most promising breast cancer research.

The two-part summer event was co-chaired by Maria & Larry Baum, Lisa Pevaroff-Cohn & Gary Cohn, Kinga & Edward Lampert, Jackie & Bippy Siegal, and hosted by TV/radio host and producer Ryan Seacrest. The day began with a WPA-sanctioned morning paddle race at Haven’s Beach in Sag Harbor and an evening bash took place at Fairview on Mecox Bay in Bridgehampton.

The morning race at Haven’s Beach was led by founder of standup paddle boarding Laird Hamilton and Gabrielle Reece. It kicked off with 200 paddlers and guests including Jimmy Buffett, Stacey Griffith, Katie Lee and incredible teams from SOULCYCLE, Town & Country and more. The race commenced with a moving award ceremony to celebrate the amazing race winners including Amy Linnen for the second year in a row coming in first place for the women’s 3-mile race.

Sunset party host Ryan Seacrest opened the evening celebration to a crowd of more than 550 guests and later kicked off the evening’s live auction.

“When I learned that a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every two minutes in the U.S., I was shocked,” said Ryan Seacrest. “We need to eradicate this disease and that’s what everyone in this room will help us do.”

The evening party was headlined by world-renowned musician and producer DJ Questlove followed by a performance by Taylor Dayne. The sunset party topped off with a set by internationally acclaimed DJ D-Nice introduced by Tracy Anderson. Guests enjoyed an interactive de GRISOGONO candy bar and a Kendra Scott “Mystery Gifts for Good” gifting station.

As a centerpiece to the party, one-of-a-kind custom surf and paddle boards were on display for auction to fund breast cancer research. The boards were designed by esteemed artists Mark Boomershine, Eric Cahan, Andrew Cotton, Nicole Miller, Lisa Perry, Lisa Pevaroff-Cohn, Donald Robertson, Kendra Scott, Hollie Watman, and more

Party guests included Tracy Anderson, Candace Bushnell, Clarissa Bronfman, Jennifer Fisher, Alex Guarnaschelli, Danielle Lauder, Jill Martin, Nicole Miller, Olivia Palermo & Johannes Huebl, Lisa & Richard Perry, Eric and Sandra Ripert, Kendra Scott, Christina Steinbrenner, Claire & Tony Florence, and Jon & Lizzie Tisch.
